B R Hills Itinerary

Day 1

  • Your journey will start in the morning from your pick up point from City (Hotel / Airport / Railway Station / Residence) and drive to B R Hills sanctuary (Biligiriranga Swamy Temple Wildlife Sanctuary). BR Hill is a unique blend of wildlife sanctuary and hill station. Situated at an altitude of 3500 ft above, the hill are interspersed with valley, stream and the place of breathtaking scenic beauty. And the Biligirirangana Temple wildlife sanctuary, is a heaven for a variety of wild animals and birds, making it a ‘must-see’ for those who love the pristine beauty of wilderness.
  • It was once the home for India’s most wanted brigand, Veerappan, who roamed these forests frequently.On arrival check in at wildlife resort.
  • After lunch enjoy trekking inside the sanctuary, which is an exciting way to experience nature first-hand. Here we will be in company a forest guide or local naturalists, who know’s the terrain well & familiarize with its terrain. One can follow a trail which leads all the way up to the peaks of nearby hills. The views from a top the hill are astonishing- with misty mountains and greenery spread out and open for miles.
  • Later return back to the resort for Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

  • Today we will awake a little early and will be ready to experience our first vehicle safari to the sanctuary. The deciduous, evergreen and grassland vegetation here offers refuge to a variety of wildlife, the major commonly sighted mammals are gaur, spotted deer, wild boar, elephants, tiger, leopards and sloth bears. The sanctuary is also home to more than 270 species of birds, including the scarlet minivet velvet-fronted nuthatch, gold – fronted chloropsis, lorikeet, malabar parakeet, heart-spotted woodpecker and malabar whistling thrush, making it a bird watcher’s paradise.
  • Later return to the resort for lunch. After lunch it’s time to enjoy the virgin serenity around the accommodation. In the evening Enjoy a wildlife movie and later you can warm yourself around a campfire and listen to the tales of the jungle told by naturalist and other guests- or share your exciting wildlife tales with them. Overnight stay at resort.

Day 3

  • Morning free for leisure and enjoy the vicinity around the hill resort. Later after breakfast leave for Bangalore.
